Op 1 Oktober 2014 het Mazda Suid-Afrika vir die eerste keer in jare onafhanklik sake begin doen nadat dié vervaardiger eers deel van die Sigma Motorkorporasie en later deel van Samcor en van Ford SA was.
Hierdie mylpaal gee die maatskappy die kans om terug te kyk na die hoogtepunte van die afgelope vyf jaar. Die maatskappy se markaandeel het aansienlik gegroei; en verkope het met 70% toegeneem. In 2014 is altesaam 4 500 eenhede verkoop, en in 2018 meer as 14 500.
Mazda was die eerste vervaardiger in die motorbedryf wat ‘n lewenslange waarborg op onderdele begin bied het en die waarborg, diensplan en pad-bystand van drie jaar ongeag die voertuig se kilometer afstand is ongeëwenaard.
Eienaars van die BT 50-bakkie kry ook ‘n klantesorgplan; dit sluit ‘n leen-voertuig soortgelyk aan die een wat die eienaar besit in wanneer sy of haar voertuig gediens word. Daarby het die maatskappy ook sy verbintenis tot die Suid-Afrikaanse gemeenskap bevestig met die bekendstelling van die Mazda SA Stigting.
“Elke lid van die Mazda SA-span, tesame met ons handelaars-vennote en alle ander vennote en verskaffers kan met trots terugkyk na wat die maatskappy bereik het,” sê mnr. Craig Roberts, die besturende direkteur van Mazda Suider-Afrika. “Die volgende stap is om Mazda Premium aan die gang te kry; dit behels die bekendstelling van nuwe model-reekse en die verbetering van klantediens aan huidige en toekomstige Mazda-eienaars,” voeg hy by.
Mazda se reeks bestaan tans uit die Mazda 2, die pas bekend-gestelde nuwe Mazda 3, die CX-3, die CX-5 en die BT 50-bakkies. Die hele reeks is beskikbaar deur Mazda se handelaars-netwerk in Suid-Afrika, Botswana, Namibië en Swaziland.
