Peugeot brei 3008-reeks uit met diesels

Sedert sy internasionale bekendstelling het die nuwe Peugeot 3008 al verskeie toekennings gewen; dit is ook een van die finaliste vir vanjaar se plaaslike Motor-van-die-Jaarkompetisie.

Toe die 3008 verlede jaar in Suid-Afrika bekendgestel is, het die reeks uit drie modelle met ‘n turbo-aangejaagde petrolenjin van 1,6 liter bestaan, naamlik die Active, die Allure en die GT-Line. Die tweeliter-turbodieselenjin waarmee albei hierdie modelle toegerus word, lewer 110 Kw teen 4 000 opm en wringkrag van 370 Nm teen 2 000 opm. Die gemiddelde brandstofverbruik van albei modelle met hierdie enjin is 5, 0 liter per 100 km en hulle kan ‘n topsnelheid van 201 km/u bereik.

Met hierdie twee modelle sit Peugeot ‘n jarelange tradisie van dieselenjins voort, en meer as die helfte van dié vervaardiger se reeks modelle skei uitlaatgasse teen 140 gram per kilometer uit.

Die pryse van die twee dieselweergawes van die 3008, wat ‘n waarborg van drie jaar of 100 000 km en ‘n diensplan van vier jaar of 60 000 km insluit, is R 474 900 en R 520 900 vir die Active 2,0 HDI-handrat en die Allure 2,0 HDI-outomaties onderskeidelik.
